Champ in page title

  • The page titles that are generated for my forum are using champ branding instead of my own website branding.

For example, within a category, the structure looks like:
Category - Champ - Forums for Shopify

I'd like to be able to override this to set my own page titles for the main forum as well as the category/thread template.

Is this a limitation of the trial, or are custom titles not supported?

  • The titles can be modified.

The titles are pulled from the topics, forum names, and your overall forum site name. As part of the default set up, we've just added a few forums for you to play with (which we named as Champ - Forums for Shopify. Go to Settings and you'll see a bunch of text you can change, as well as in the forums where you can set the forum titles.

  • We're having the same issue – our page title says:

    Champ - Forums for Shopify

Even though we (think) we replaced all occurrences of the Champ and Shopify names.

To clarify, it's not the Prefix... like Announcement etc... but what seems like the global suffix Champ - Forums for Shopify that we need to remove/replace.

    Thx

  • Here's an example of the Champ - Forums for Shopify that we want to remove.

  • Hi there,

You can update that in the app's dashboard.

I'll copy and paste the instructions from a previous reply as it's the same:

  • Thank you! We finally found it, but it's actually located in the TRANSLATION area... rather than SETTINGS... see attached screenshot. Works great now, thanks!

  • Oh goodness, you're right.

An earlier release of the app was in Settings and my brain still hasn't updated itself! Thanks for the correction.

How to format posts

Champ uses Markdown for formatting text in posts. Certain markup tags (eg. H1) are forbidden to ensure that pages remain semantically compliant. Other tags are automatically sanitized to ensure all content is secure.

  • Emphasis, aka italics, with *asterisks* or _underscores_.
  • Strong emphasis, aka bold, with **asterisks** or __underscores__.
  • Combined emphasis with **asterisks and _underscores_**.
  • Strikethrough uses two tildes. ~~Scratch this.~~
  • Links are added automatically, but can be formatted like so: [My link](https://mylink.com)
For more information, take a look at the Markdown Cheatsheet.
