  • Hello,

Wondering if there's a way to format the /tags page the same way that a /forums page looks. Currently when you go to the /tags page it removes profile pictures as well as image preview thumbnails from the post preview block.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there, are you referring to this:

    Screenshot 2020-08-05 10.07.14.png

The design of the tags and search pages were designed to look different to make them easier to see that they're different than the /forum topic listings.

Are you looking to use the tag URL link as a different way to present forum topics (so it would be the same as listing in a single forum) or are you just looking to change the way the page look?

  • Sorry let me provide a bit more info here. The way our forum is setup is like 1 big twitter feed, users are posting and commenting and interacting with each other, this is all done through 1 forum. Now we sort these posts (aka tweets) based on tags, whenever someone posts they always add a couple tags (hashtags to keep the analogy going). The reason we do not sort these posts via forums is because we can not (as a user) see ALL posts from all of the forums, so we have to use tags.

What we're looking for is when someone searches a tag, their customer facing experience doesn't change, the only thing that should change are the posts they are seeing.

Reference the attached 2 screenshots, in our case we would like both of these screenshots to look the exact same. Hope this helps explain, thanks!

  • Hi there,

I think this can be done. Can you shoot me an email at support@getchamp.net so I can ask you a few more questions about this. It'll also allow me to extend your trial so that you can test it out after implementation.

    Cheers

How to format posts

Champ uses Markdown for formatting text in posts. Certain markup tags (eg. H1) are forbidden to ensure that pages remain semantically compliant. Other tags are automatically sanitized to ensure all content is secure.

  • Emphasis, aka italics, with *asterisks* or _underscores_.
  • Strong emphasis, aka bold, with **asterisks** or __underscores__.
  • Combined emphasis with **asterisks and _underscores_**.
  • Strikethrough uses two tildes. ~~Scratch this.~~
  • Links are added automatically, but can be formatted like so: [My link](https://mylink.com)
For more information, take a look at the Markdown Cheatsheet.
