  • We will be migrating Champ's servers tonight, approximately between 9PM to 11:59PM EST. The purpose of this migration is to improve the infrastructure's speed.

It is expected that there will be around a 10-20 minute service interruption.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • Server upgraded slightly ahead of schedule.

    Completed at 9:14 PM EST.

There may have been a 5 to 10-minute window where you may have experienced some lost of data when the database was migrated.

Everything has been tested and was otherwise smooth. The server setup is much faster now, so there should be an immediate difference.

    Do report any bugs!

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

  • @champsupport When testing out our forum, I noticed these unread notification numbers don't go down when posts are read. Any idea why this might be happening? Am I misunderstanding what these numbers are meant to represent? Thanks for your help!

  • Hi @michaelr -- those numbers represent the number of posts within a thread, not unread. I think it may be time to improve this view. I have a big slate of updates that I want to get through, so I'll revisit this in the next month I think.

How to format posts

Champ uses Markdown for formatting text in posts. Certain markup tags (eg. H1) are forbidden to ensure that pages remain semantically compliant. Other tags are automatically sanitized to ensure all content is secure.

  • Emphasis, aka italics, with *asterisks* or _underscores_.
  • Strong emphasis, aka bold, with **asterisks** or __underscores__.
  • Combined emphasis with **asterisks and _underscores_**.
  • Strikethrough uses two tildes. ~~Scratch this.~~
  • Links are added automatically, but can be formatted like so: [My link](https://mylink.com)
For more information, take a look at the Markdown Cheatsheet.
