As usual, a monthly thread is created to keep our customers informed about what new features are coming up.

A bit of a note on last month's slow development (June): Apologies to my merchants. I got carried away with some of the design and development of the app, and internally had wasted a lot of time redoing a lot of work. This doesn't happen often, but I ended up creating a feature that was overly complicated and ended up scraping the work as it made things worse overall. I'm back on track now and will have a number of things to release in July.

Super duper beta -- so please test gently: Time limit for repeated posts by a single user

By default, all shop accounts are set to have a value of 0 time limit between posts for a single user. That is, 0 seconds need to pass in order for a user to be able to create the next post (ie. new topic or reply to an existing topic).

You can now set this limit (with values in seconds) for up to 1 hour (3600 seconds).

When a user creates a new post, they will see a seconds countdown until they can create the next post. This feature is now active on this demo forum (set to 10 seconds for demo purposes).

To activate this feature, head to the app's dashboard and go under Settings, scroll all the way to the bottom and enter the value (in seconds) of time that must lapse before a user can create a new post.

Avatar system selection is added. You can now set the system to fetch avatars from Gravatar or using letters.

Go to Settings under User Profile to change this setting.

A user point system has been added.

Champ has (as of July 26, 2019) started tabulating the points users have.

You will need to activate this system by going to the app's dashboard under Points.

Currently, the forums do not display how many points a user has... but it will soon.

Included with this are:

• Leaderboard page (publicly available -- if you wish)
• Points displayable on user profile page
• API accessible points system

On the backend, there's also the option to set custom points. These points could be for other activities that are non forum related. Not yet available, but these points will be settable via API or within the app's dashboard.

I'm excited to see what you guys use the points system for! As always, please let me know what you think.

Bug fix released today that was present in IE11/Windows 7

Update July 27 - Tested Firefox and it works as well.
