Hi there, how do I allow my users to post their own forum discussions? It does not have a tab on this. I use Shopify. Thanks!

    Hi there,

You can link to your forum by creating a menu link to the forums within your Shopify menu. The forum itself resides (by default) at https://yourdomain.com/community/champ (which can be changed -- please refer to our guide).

If you want to put a menu link on your Shopify store (we're talking about the main theme for your shop), from within your Shopify Dashboard, go to Online Store > Navigation and add the link there in the menu.

    Here's the full description: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-online/online-store/menus-and-links

If you change the forum directory from /community/champ to something else, you will need to update this in the menu as well.

How to format posts

Champ uses Markdown for formatting text in posts. Certain markup tags (eg. H1) are forbidden to ensure that pages remain semantically compliant. Other tags are automatically sanitized to ensure all content is secure.

  • Emphasis, aka italics, with *asterisks* or _underscores_.
  • Strong emphasis, aka bold, with **asterisks** or __underscores__.
  • Combined emphasis with **asterisks and _underscores_**.
  • Strikethrough uses two tildes. ~~Scratch this.~~
  • Links are added automatically, but can be formatted like so: [My link](https://mylink.com)

For more information, take a look at the Markdown Cheatsheet.
