As usual, a monthly thread is created to keep our customers informed about what new features are coming up.

Completed:

Our shop uses Smile Rewards points, so it would be cool if the forum points system could integrate with their api somehow. Just being able to manually adjust points would be awesome too.

Additionally, it would be nice if the forum would sync with our Shopify customer database on a regular basis. We have to remove spam customers from our Shopify account regularly, and every time a customer is created, it also creates a forum account for them, but once we remove the customer account from Shopify it looks like the forum account is still active. It bloats our Users section in the Champ Dashboard.

In regards to Smile integration, could you elaborate what you're currently using Smile for and what you hope to achieve with an integration? This is so that I have a better understanding (ie. so I'm on the same page and have the same frame of reference as you do) of what you need.

I've requested API access from Smile.io, so I'll be waiting to hear back from them.

Feature added to delete user when corresponding customer record is deleted from within Shopify.

A bit of a background on this:

• Champ will first redact all posts and topics created by user. These will NOT be deleted, as it could lead to a cascading effect of deleting a lot of posts. Instead, they will be anonymized.
• Customer is then deleted

Do report bugs!

For existing customers that have been deleted and where Champ has not yet deleted, this will be remedied. A one-time cleaning up of the user database will likely happen in the next week or so.

Hi Champ Support team,
As the number of topics increases, tags for topics based on different colours could allow users to spot their interested topics quickly. Forum moderators can as well manage topics efficiently.
When a user creates a topic, he or she can choose one or more existing tags or even create a new one, which then would be attached to the topic title with different auto assigned background colours, like the 'Recipe' tag in the image.

@alisonw Thanks for your suggestion. I think that's a pretty good idea. I'll work on developing this further and will add this to the planned features list.

For merchants who are awaiting Smile.io integration, their API team still hasn't responded to my request for access. I'll be reaching out to them again today.

@champsupport We use the Smile rewards to encourage people to communicate and engage with us on social media, leave product reviews etc. It's good for the community and we like to give people discounts they can use for cool stuff on the store. If we could reward people each month for being the top community contributor or something that would be nice.
