Not showing registered users names - for privacy

I am hosting and adult-themed website. I don't think that the participants in my forum will want their real names (as created in the user registrations) to be shown on the chat forum. They have to register with their real names because they are buying products. Is there a way to show an anonymized user name, or no user name instead (for registered users)?

How to format posts
