Planned Champ Features (Last updated January 2019)

Happy New Years!

To keep merchants informed about what's coming up next, I'll post here what we're working on next for the app.

• Public user profile page
• User point system
• User tagging within messages (eg. @joe) will notify @joe
• User inbox to facilitate user-to-user communications
• Image previews when browsing forum topics
• Increasing server capacities
• Admin new topic notifications

Update: The user points/tagging/inbox features have been on the list for a few months now. It is anticipated that these will FINALLY be launched toward the end of January 2019/early February 2019. DONE-ish. This is in beta, and the feature turned out to be more similar to real time user-to-user messaging. Certain features (tagging, points) are still in progress. Please report issues. Refinements and improvements will be made ongoing. User profiles are now active. Clicking on someone's name or avatar will go to a publicly accessible page where one can view the individual user's latest posts and activity count.

This is a work in progress and more details will be added.

Special attention has been paid to only display information already available in other parts of ALREADY accessible parts of the forum.

Posts made by a user in a forum where a reader (the person clicking on the profile link) does not have access to WILL NOT BE SHOWN.

Currently, only the last 30 posts a user makes is displayed. No pagination is currently available, but this is being planned AFTER other features are implemented.

Latest posts are counted for posts at the time they are created, NOT updated.

I am happy to announce that as of today (Jan 27), I've increased the server capacities of Champ to a total of six (6) servers. There are now triple redundancies in place. Backups are performed on a regular schedule.

You may (or hopefully may NOT) have noticed a couple minutes of downtime between 6 to 6:30 PM EST.

Hey there, we noticed that there is atm no option to get informed when a user starts a new thread in the forum, which means we have to login every day into the admin to check if someone made a post where we need to reply. probably someone else for whom a admin notification for new topics would be useful? :-(

Done! Added it to the todo list for admin new thread notification.
